Knose Vet Portal
Discovery, UI, Prototyping, Client management
Background
Knose is a pet care company aiming to simplify pet insurance and care plans. The brief from this client was to build a simple portal for vets where they could submit and review claim information, refer a pet, or use their wellness fund to help a pet. The primary goal was to enhance the efficiency of the claims submission process for vets while maintaining alignment with the playful brand identity of Knose.
Discovery
Worked closely with the client to understand their brand values and personality, and the requirements of their user base. We managed to get in touch with a set of vets to interview, which was a crucial part in understanding the pain points and preferences of how much time vets were willing to spend inside the portal. Insights gained from these interactions provided valuable perspectives on the existing challenges in the claims submission process and the desired features for a more streamlined experience.
Design
Based on the insights gathered during the discovery phase, I first developed prototyped wireframes for detailed walkthrough of the portal functionality. Along with feedback and refinements with the client, it also allowed the client to facilitate collaborative discussions with their user base, in order to validate the design’s effectiveness. This process ensured that the final design resonated well with both the client’s vision and the end-users’ needs.
The end design prioritised simplicity, while staying true to the Knose branding, ensuring that vets could navigate the portal seamlessly and complete tasks efficiently.
Implementation
I took the development team through detailed design documents and client requirements, and we were able to deliver to the client within a month. I had established a solid foundation with the development agency through previous projects, so the approved designs were seamlessly transitioned into the hands of the development team. Our relationship not only streamlined the integration of the portal but also allowed for dynamic and agile problem-solving approaches, resulting in a smooth delivery where challenges were addressed quickly and efficiently.
